2. People have knowledge and understanding about creating incentives to reduce alcohol consumption.

3. People have intentions to reduce their consumption of alcoholic beverages after the training is completed.

4. People are satisfied that they have attended the training.

Target group

Wat Pho Riang Community Bangkok Noi

Activities

1. Explore the community area of ​​Wat Pho Riang in Bangkok Noi community area (Observation survey and analysis) 4 times:

• 1st time February 23, 2020

• 2nd time, 1 March 2020

• The 3rd time, 8 March 2020

• The 4th time on 15 March 2020

by a research team from the Faculty of Nursing Mahidol University together with the chairman of Wat Pho Riang community and social activities.

2. After surveying the area, reserch team made an appointment with the chairman of the Kreuk, the NESDB and the people in the community during 8-12 hrs.

3. Use all the data obtained to analyze knowledge and attitude towards reducing alcohol consumption behavior, and alcohol drinking behavior to bring the information to create an incentive program with self-control in reducing alcohol consumption behavior of working age people in the community to find potential for development that truly meets the needs of the community.

4. Organize a focus group in the Wat Pho Riang community, and evaluation after training

Output/Outcome

1. Performance by doing activities in Wat Pho Riang community could be obtained information and important development issues as follows:

1.1. The average number of participants in the project is 44 people who are working age who have been selected to join the training program. Most of the samples had had alcohol consumption behavior or having a family member who drinks alcohol.

1.2. The project participants had a positive attitude towards behavioral change to reduce alcohol consumption. They could have a better understanding of the health effects of drinking alcohol, and health benefits from behavior modification by reducing alcohol consumption. Also, they could be motivated or motivated together with self-control to modify behavior by reducing the consumption of alcoholic beverages by receiving support and encouragement from family members or neighbors in the community. As a result, this project will help encourage participants to be motivated to change their behavior to reduce alcohol consumption and intends to quit or stop drinking alcohol to reduce the impact on one’s health and enhancing the quality of life for everyone in the family to be able to live together happily.

1.3. Participants were satisfied with the training at 69.77 percent --> 70.

1.4. Academic service work is completed within the specified time 100%.
